It is fine with us if you translate and post the one item you

Stefan,

An excellent job. I have just a few questions:

- Does the phrase "le clergé de Rome" convey properly the sense
that we're talking about the clergy of the Roman rite -- not
necessarily of the city of Rome?

- Is "au parfum" an idiom? It's unfamiliar to me.

- Unless I'm mistaken there's an extra word in this sentence:
"Il est vrai que nous ne nous attendons pas..."

I'll leave it to you to make changes (if changes are necessary) and
post the piece.

God bless,

Hello, I have no problem with it as long as my

with the website that originally published those
articles (or at least give them an acknowledgement).

Good day Mr. Feser,

A very long time ago (2016-Dec-20), I asked
for your permission to translate into French
and cross-post on my web site one of your
articles.

You answered:

 >> Hello, you may translate and post it, but
 >> (a) do not abridge or change it in any way,
 >> (b) please do explicitly note that it is
 >> your translation, and
 >> (c) provide a link to the original post.
 >> Best, EF

I was side-tracked and never got around to it,
but then you and Mr. Bessette published your
excellent "By Man Shall His Blood Be Shed",
and I absolutely had to try to give that book
some publicity, especially on the French side,
so I translated two of your articles about it:

"Why the Church Cannot Reverse Past Teaching on
Capital Punishment" and "Why the Death Penalty
is Still Necessary"

I hope I don't deserve too harsh a punishment
for taking your initial permission and applying
it to another article.

Here is the French translation:

www.jesus-eucharistie.org/fr/serm/peine_mort.htm

the original English is here:

www.jesus-eucharistie.org/en/serm/peine_mort.htm

Please scream if something is not acceptable to
you or Mr. Bessette.

Good day Mr. Carl E. Olson,

I'm contacting you because Mr. Edward Feser said
I should.

I asked Mr. Feser about translating
two of his articles into French and cross-posting them
on my web site (with credits, of course!). He answered:

 >> Hello, I have no problem with it as long as my

So since you are apparently "the website that originally
published those articles", I'm just checking to see
if that's OK with you.

The French version is here:

www.jesus-eucharistie.org/fr/serm/peine_mort.htm

The original English is here:

www.jesus-eucharistie.org/en/serm/peine_mort.htm

As you can see, there are numerous hyperlinks toward
Catholic World Report, the two articles, and Ignatius Press.

Hope that's acceptable!

Keep up the good work!

Dear Stefan:

Thank you so much for your email of Monday, August 28th.

There has not been a French translation of our newsletter article called,
"Ongoing Discrimination by the Status of Women," May June 2006. There was a
follow up article in the July August issue, which I understand will likely be
posted tomorrow. It would be fine with us if you want to translate the article

Good luck.
